Bingo is one of the easiest games to play. Bingo is usually played in halls. “Beano” was the original name of Bingo. The origin of Bingo can be traced back to Italy on the early 1500’s. “Beano” came to the United States and in the late 1920’s Beano became known as Bingo.

Basically, players have to buy cards with numbers on them in a 5 x 5 grid corresponding to the five letters in the word B-I-N-G-O. Numbers are then drawn at random until a player completes a 'Bingo' pattern. There are many possible patterns to play for.

A bingo Card contains 24 numbered spaces and one free space. The numbers are assigned at random on each card and are arranged in five columns of five numbers each by five rows. The numbers in the B column are between 1 and 15, in the I column between 16 and 30, in the N column between 31 and 45, in the G column between 46 and 60, and in the O column between 61 and 75.

European Bingo or 90 ball bingo: Each card is called a ticket which consists of 3 rows and 9 columns. Each row contains 5 random numbers and 4 blank spaces. 90 ball bingo game is almost always played with strips of tickets which is a set of 6 tickets, containing all 90 numbers. At each bingo number call, a number is crossed off. The game is played with 3 patterns. The patterns are called One Line, Two Lines, and Full House. The first player to cross off a horizontal line wins the first prize. Then the first player to cross off two horizontal lines wins the next prize. Finally, the first player to cross all the numbers on a ticket wins the maximum prize.

American Bingo or 75 ball bingo: 75 ball bingo game have cards containing five rows and five columns. Each column has a letter at the out of BINGO. The ticket is filled with random numbers. There is only one free space on the ticket. The playing pattern is announced at the beginning of each game. You can play a coverall game, where the winner is the first person to mark off all the numbers on their ticket and the jackpots are usually much higher.
